Up Uk Diving ยป Norfolk in August 09

PS162491.JPG
By August the sea is warm and clear, no need for drysuits! We had chances to dive all our favourite easy sites and when weather and some electrical problems threatened to spoil a day out of Sea Palling we dropped in on spec and found a massive mussel bed which could be the real find of the year. Mussels bind the seabed together and make the otherwise shifting sand and gravel an attractive habitat for all kinds of things. This makes them what is known as a BAP (Biodiversity Action Plan) habitat which is of special interest for conservation.
